For a lot of cheerleaders around the country, spring tryouts are coming up quickly.

Now is the perfect time to start preparing, so you go into tryouts confident and prepared. As part of the series of videos we’ve been showing, here’s a short clip with some tips about showing some school spirit in your routine (which will earn you some extra points with the judges).

If you’re wondering what tryouts actually looks like, we found an interesting video. It’s the tumbling portion of Baylor University’s 2007 spring tryouts.

Naturally, if you’re trying out for a high school squad, it won’t be this intense.

But we’ve gotta say: Just watching this wore us out.
